Profil
Prof. Dr. Dedy Darnaedi adalah seorang ilmuwan dan dosen di Fakultas Biologi dan Pertanian, Universitas Nasional. Beliau menyelesaikan studi S1 di Universitas Nasional pada tahun 1981 kemudian melanjutkan studi hingga memperoleh gelar M.Sc pada tahun 1986 dan gelar PhD pada tahun 1989 dari University of Tokyo. Selain menjadi dosen di Biologi Universitas Nasional, beliau memiliki banyak pengalaman, diantaranya pernah menjadi Kepala Kebun Raya Bogor, Kepala Puslit LIPI, sekretaris International Association of Botanic Gardens (IABG) dan merupakan chairman Flora Malaesiana. Saat ini beliau merupakan ketua Organisasi Ikatan Perkumpulan Alumni Fakultas Biologi (IKA Fabiona) hingga tahun 2026. Bidang keahlian beliau adalah taksonomi tumbuhan dan biosistematika terutama tumbuhan tropika sehingga publikasi yang beliau hasilkan banyak berhubungan dengan kedua bidang tersebut.
